Hello there! I'm Daljit, a passionate product designer with over 7 years of experience crafting meaningful experiences for users. Currently, I'm leading initiatives within the International Supply Chain team at Wayfair, focusing on Freight Forwarding Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and design systems.
My design philosophy revolves around social innovation and a deep understanding of consumer behavior. I believe in creating design solutions that are both simple and attractive, always with the user in mind. Previously, I honed my skills designing tools and products for small business owners at Verizon, and as the first design hire at a healthcare startup, I spearheaded all aspects of design. Additionally, my 4 years in the nonprofit sector allowed me to enhance the experiences for donors and various nonprofits, leveraging my strengths in organization and empathy.
Growing up as a first generation Indian-American, I was immersed in two cultures at once, which is what I credit for my perspective. My aim is to add cultural relevancy to the work I create.
When I'm not designing or researching you can find me drawing - starting a shop soon, training for my first half marathon, exploring new places to eat, or catching up on my long list of tv shows.
Thanks for stopping by! π€
